2013 Estate Selection Pinot Noir
Limpid red. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh red fruit, blood orange and floral pastilles, and a strong suggestion of exotic Moroccan spices builds with aeration. Shows very good depth of flavor but comes off lithe, offering zesty raspberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors that take a turn to darker fruits on the back half. A hint of vanilla sweetens a very long, silky, gently tannic finish that leaves five-spice powder and candied lavender notes behind.
